FYI: The KYTE bashring chainring protector is mounted on a Dartmoor Hornet freeride/enduro frame using the ISCG05 mounts: easy and neat. This works perfectly with the single chainiring setup of the XT crank.

Bashguard v1.2 mounted on a mean yellow/green Nicolai Argon hardtail. Ready for impact.   What we improved over this prototype: we removed the edge on the driveside, so the chain can't get stuck in between.
